South Africa to Play Nigeria in AFCON Semifinals After Cape Verde Crash Out

Bafana Bafana of South Africa have been drawn into the AFCON Semifinals with Nigeria after their resilient performance against Cape Verde. The South African team defeated Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.

The both sides played a goalless draw after 90th minutes and were forced into extra time, but the both sides couldn’t convert their chances. The blue sharks missed the best chance late minutes at the extra time that could have put them ahead, but they missed it. 

South Africa were victorious after the blue sharks missed 4 of their penalties. Bafana Bafana missed two and scored two of their penalties.

The semifinals matches will be played on the 7th of February 2024. The time for the Nigeria game is 18:00PM, Ivory Coast will play by 21:00PM
