Children, Women Dead in Community Clash Between Atala Community And Ipokuma

An unconfirmed number of people are said to have died in DEGEMA LGA, following allegation that the People of Atala community in Degema maliciously attacked the people of Ipokuma community (Degema conciliate), in Degema local government area killing numerous people which includes children and women, destroying houses and several properties.

The News has it that, just last week the same people of Atala community attacked the people of Krakrama community and killed one person. Our source rightly told us that these attacks have been preconceived by the people Atali community, hence they wrote a letter to the Oba of Benin to cover up their atrocities and attract sympathy thereby claiming the victim that the Kalabari people are planning to Kill them. 

This unpleasant event is happening at a time when Kalabari is enjoying peace all over her communities. In a nutshell, their cruel intentions are audible to the deaf, that they are looking for trouble where there is no trouble. We therefore call on the government to swing into action and find the true identity of these malicious attacks by the Atali people on Kalabari communities.
