Rivers CP Orders Criminal Gangs To Surrender Weapons

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has read the Riot Act to criminal gangs terrorising communities and causing mayhem in various parts of the state. CP Disu spoke when a group paid him a courtesy call in his office at the police headquarters on Moscow Road in Port Harcourt. He urged criminal gangs to surrender their arms or risk the same treatment given to Gift Okpara, also known as 2Baba, the prime suspect in the murder of SP Bako Angbashim, a former Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada Division.

He said the police have information about criminal gangs in the state and will smoke them out sooner than later.
