Bobrisky Shares Cell, Not Solitary at Kirikiri

EFCC Confirms Arresting Bobrisky Over Naira Abuse Says They Will Soon Be Charged To Court

Bobrisky, the controversial Nigerian crossdresser, has been making headlines recently due to his legal troubles and subsequent incarceration at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison. Contrary to some rumors circulating on social media, Bobrisky is not being held in solitary confinement nor is he enjoying any VIP treatment during his stay at the correctional facility.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has clarified that Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, is sharing a cell with other inmates, debunking rumors of him being placed in a one-bedroom flat or receiving special treatment. This clarification was issued to address public concerns and provide accurate information regarding Bobrisky’s living conditions while serving his sentence.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment for abusing the naira notes, after pleading guilty to the charges. The crossdresser was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and sentenced by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 5, 2024. Bobrisky’s case has sparked a wide range of reactions from the public, with many expressing their opinions on social media.

In the correctional facility, Bobrisky is being treated like any other inmate.
