Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was tragically shot and killed in a brazen attack outside the New York Hilton Midtown hotel on December 4, 2024. Thompson, 50, was in New York for an annual United Healthcare investors meeting when the incident occurred.

DETAILS OF THE ATTACK

According to eyewitnesses, the gunman, dressed in black, apparently knew which door Thompson was going to enter and shot him several times from a few feet away before fleeing by bicycle. Thompson was taken to Mount Sinai West hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“It was like something out of a movie,” said one eyewitness. “The gunman was so calm and collected, it was like he had planned the whole thing out.”
