The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has issued a scathing warning to Governor Sim Fubara, stating that the wrath of God will fall on him if he doesn’t change his ways.

Okocha, who spoke to journalists in Port Harcourt, accused Fubara of not belonging to any political party and interfering in the affairs of the APC in the state. He alleged that Fubara’s actions are a clear indication that he’s trying to divide and conquer the justice system.

“Fubara is not a member of any political party, yet he’s interfering in the affairs of the APC. He’s sponsoring legal action against us, and this is unacceptable,” Okocha said.

Okocha emphasized that Fubara’s current situation is precarious, as he’s no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and won’t be able to contest in the 2027 elections.

“Fubara is a man without a party. He’s not a member of the PDP, and he can’t contest in the next elections. He’s desperate and trying to cling to power by any means necessary,” Okocha said.

Okocha’s statement comes after a court order nullified the executive committee of the APC in Rivers State, which he leads. Despite the court order, Okocha remains defiant, stating that the APC will continue with its activities, including the distribution of 23,000 bags of rice to party members.

“We won’t be intimidated by Fubara’s antics. We’ll continue with our activities, and we’ll distribute the 23,000 bags of rice to our party members. Fubara can’t stop us,” Okocha said.

Okocha’s warning to Fubara has sparked a heated debate in the state, with many calling on the governor to respond to the allegations. The APC chairman’s statement has also raised concerns about the escalating political tensions in the state.

As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the battle for political supremacy in Rivers State has reached a boiling point, and it’s anyone’s guess what will happen next.
