ENUGU STATE GOVERNOR PETER MBAH DECLARES SIT-AT-HOME ORDER DEFEATED
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has declared that the sit-at-home order has been defeated in the state. This comes after the governor urged residents to disregard the illegal order and go about their normal activities.
The sit-at-home order, which was initially declared by some faceless non-state actors, was purportedly to protest the killing of a popular Ogene musician, Okezie Mba, aka Igbo Jah, by a police officer. However, the state government described the sponsors and promoters of the sit-at-home as enemies of Enugu State and the Igbo nation.
Governor Mbah assured residents that the state government and security agencies had taken decisive action to ensure that anyone found culpable in the musician’s death would be severely punished. He also vowed to muster all powers at his disposal to protect the lives and property of the people.

Security agencies in Enugu State have commended Governor Mbah for his efforts in defeating the sit-at-home order.
