Arnie’s a manly man. He’s an action hero, but he doesn’t act like it. He plays the part of the tough guy so well that he can get away with it—and makes you believe it, too. Here are five of Arnie’s best movies:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a 1991 science fiction film directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role. It is a sequel to The Terminator (1984), with Linda Hamilton returning as Sarah Connor. The film was produced after Cameron’s successful 1986 film Aliens, which led him to produce this sequel.

The story follows two time periods: one set 2029 where an artificial intelligence called Skynet has been created and has become self-aware; and one set 1984 where Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) travels back in time from 2017 to save his mother’s life before she meets John Connor (Schwarzenegger).

Predator

Predator is a 1987 American science fiction action film directed by John McTiernan, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers. The film was written by Jim Thomas and John Thomas, with a story by Michael Miner. It follows two commandos who are sent to investigate the disappearance of an American family in Central America only to discover they have been pursued by an extraterrestrial warrior hidden among them.

The Terminator

The Terminator is a 1984 American science fiction action film directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as the eponymous cyborg assassin. In the future, an artificial intelligence has developed a time-traveling device that allows it to send back people from the past to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), who is also played by Hamilton in this flashback sequence. When she realizes what’s happening, she goes into hiding with her son John William “John” Conner Jr., but he dies shortly thereafter because of his sickness; this leads directly into the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).

The film was released on July 3, 1984 and became an instant hit; it was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Actress (Hamilton), Best Actor(Schwarzenegger)

and Best Film Editing

Commando

Commando was released in 1985, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rae Dawn Chong as two of the main characters. The movie was directed by Mark L. Lester, who also wrote it with Richard Daniel Macher and John Logan. It tells the story of a retired special forces officer who is forced to return to action when his daughter becomes involved with a terrorist organization that has kidnapped her boyfriend (Vernon Wells).

Total Recall

Total Recall is a 1990 science fiction action film directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone and Rachel Ticotin. The film is based on the short story “We Can Remember it For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. It was written by Ronald Shusett and developed into a screenplay under his direction with David Peoples’ contribution to the final story draft.[1]

The plot follows Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger), an architect who finds himself involved in a plot involving mind control after falling asleep on Mars after having visited Earth during an interstellar travel conference there (to discuss world peace). After awakening from his dream state, he discovers that his wife Lori (Sharon Stone) has been kidnapped by terrorists working for Megalom Inc., who have implanted him with false memories so that they can use him as their new employee when he recovers them both safely back home again; meanwhile government agents try desperately to save them both before time runs out.[2][3]

Arnold Schwarzenegger gave some of the best action movies the world has ever seen.

Schwarzenegger’s most famous role is probably the Terminator. He played the machine that goes back in time to kill Sarah Connor, who eventually becomes his wife in “The Terminator.” The movie was so popular that it spawned three sequels and even an animated series on television (with a reboot set to be released next year).

Later on, Schwarzenegger starred in Predator as a man who comes across alien hunters from outer space while hunting down his son’s killer in Central America. The film became more widely known when Schwarzenegger reprised his role as Marcus Brody for two sequels: Predator 2 and 3: Primal Hunt
