An angry man set his wife ablaze for not cooking for him. The incident happened in Lagos. According to neighbor who witnessed what happened said the man returned home hungry only for the man to notice that her wife didn’t prepare any food for him, hence he took out a torch and set fire on her body which resulted into severe burns all over her body including face and hands. The incident was witnessed by a neighbour, who came to the woman’s rescue. The woman who got married to the man 3 years ago .

The witness said Olayekan (which happens to be the name of the wife) has earlier complained that her husband don’t always keep money for food but always come back home demanding for what to eat with no choice left but either starve or sell as much clothes as possible from their closet/wardrobe/garage etcetera so they could get some relief from poverty during harsh times like this one we are facing now!

The incident was witnessed by a neighbour, who came to the woman’s rescue, only to find out that Olayekan Azeez is already dead.

The police have been told to arrest the man for murder after investigating the case and arrests have been made so far.

Neighbors said the woman who got married to the man 3 years ago said that her husband was jealous of her because he felt that she was winning at their home. She claimed that she had 4 children, including a baby boy born last year.

The husband when interrogated by the Lagos police said, “She is a winch and I knew it would happen.” He also added that he was not comfortable with how she was treating him. The wife was admitted to hospital to be treated for her burns; however, doctors were unable to save her life because they couldn’t find out what caused them or how they happened.
