JUST IN: Akwa Ibom YPP guber candidate sentenced to 42 years imprisonment for fraud
The federal high court of Uyo, on Thursday convicted and sentenceed Mr Bassy Albert who was persecuted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commision.
The YPP guber candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. bassey albert, has been sentenced to a total of 42 years imprisonment for defrauding and diverting about N3.4 billion from the coffers of the state government.

The sentence was handed down by Justice Uche Agomoh of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikot Ekpene on Thursday .
The court ordered that Mr Bassy, who was arrested and charged with fraudulently obtaining N3 million from his parents, be detained until he serves out his jail term.
